Complete Puppy Preschool Training

Our unique puppy preschool training program is designed as a lifestyle program to set you and your puppy up for a lifetime of success. This program harnesses a puppies view of the big wide world and teaches K9 Parents how to understand puppy behaviour, body language and social skills.

About the Complete Puppy Preschool  Training

This 8-week puppy preschool training program is designed to successfully set you up with your puppy to develop the best relationship possible, that is based on trust, respect, and clear communication. You will learn everything you need to know in teaching and guiding your puppy in everyday life situations. Puppies will learn how to interact and play appropriately with other dogs and learn how to be a polite puppy from an early age in everyday life situations. We use science evidence based training methods that reward positive behaviour. This training program is a complete program and no other training should ever be required! 

In the Puppy Preschool Training Program

You will learn about the following :

  • Positive reinforcement training for success
  • 3 stages of training
  • An understanding of different positive training methods, and the best ones to use and when.
  • Bite inhibition
  • Toilet training
  • Handling for grooming/vet checks and cuddles
  • Preventing and solving natural unwanted behaviours e.g. jumping up, barking, Digging, biting/mouthing
  • How to create a positive and interesting daily environment for your puppy
  • The 4 basic needs of a dog
  • How to trouble shoot problems
  • How to condition your puppy to respond to requests inside and outside of the home environment and under different levels of distraction
  • Canine communication and body language.
  • An opportunity to try out and fit different walking equipment on your puppy, which will allow you to purchase the correct equipment

Puppies will learn to:

  • Respond to name
  • Settle
  • Drop
  • Sit for greeting people
  • Go to mat
  • Leave it
  • Stay
  • Come when called - on and off lead
  • Walk on lead nicely
  • Walking and greeting people and dogs politely on lead
  • Walk close by my side
  • No marker signal
  • Quiet (stop barking)

Training Details

We hold our first five puppy preschool classes indoors in Brisbane's Southside suburb Wishart, providing your pup with a safe, clean and comfortable environment. Your puppy only needs to have had its very first vaccination for these sessions, and once they are fully vaccinated, we will move outside for the remainder of the training.

Training Includes:

  • Puppy preschool training manual
  • Complimentary puppy social interactions sessions. These are available every Thursday evenings and possibly some Saturday mornings so you and your puppy get the very best from the puppy preschool program.
  • 12 months of complimentary phone assistance upon completion of the training as sometimes new unwanted behaviours arise.
  • 30 minute private make up session if a class is missed at a small cost of $30.
